100-word review of “Generous Justice” by Timothy Keller
Tim Keller is world-renowned for his awesome preaching and unassailable logic used in defending Christianity. In this book he argues that ‘doing justice’ should not come out of guilt or compulsion, but rather out of rejoicing at the abundant Grace of God. Keller’s Biblical basis for God’s Grace making us just is good, but the book really comes into its own in the last fifty pages when he argues that a secular understanding of ‘justice’ apart from a faith position is impossible because of a lack of agreement about what is meant by this term. Another gem from Tim Keller.
